From the Desk of: Robin Wakeham, Physical Therapist
Dear Friend,
How do you know if back pain is muscular?
Back pain can be caused by a variety of factors, including muscle strain, ligament sprain, disc herniation, arthritis, and more. It can sometimes be difficult to determine the exact cause of back pain, but there are some signs that can suggest that the pain is muscular in nature. These include:
1. Pain that is localized to a specific area of the back
2. Pain that worsens with movement or certain activities
3. Pain that is dull or aching, rather than sharp or shooting
4. Muscle stiffness or soreness in the affected area
5. Pain that is relieved with rest or over-the-counter pain relievers
6. The absence of other symptoms such as numbness, tingling, or weakness in the legs or feet.
If you are experiencing back pain and are unsure of the cause, it is always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment.
Thanks,
Robin Wakeham
P.S.- Don't forget you're just one step away from relieving your back pain...
